We gathered in Toronto to support #Iranprotests
Friends and Concerned Citizens: All of us have been closely following the recent events in Iran, where courageous protesters have taken to the streets of many cities to speak out against injustice, corruption, and discrimination. They are demanding their rights in the face of batons, tear gas, and bullets. People are chanting, “we don’t want the Islamic Republic.” These protests are against the entirety of the regime. A regime that oppresses women, executes gays, imprisons minorities such as Muslims of different sects, and the Bahai.
